Install the visual

SimpleWaterfall Pro is installed from Microsoft AppSource. Your organisation buys the licences, then each person adds the visual in Power BI Desktop.

Before you start: get a licence

You can only use SimpleWaterfall Pro once a licence has been assigned to you. Only a Microsoft 365 admin can do this, so if you are not an admin, ask yours to complete these steps first.

  1. Buy SimpleWaterfall Pro on Microsoft AppSource
  2. In the Microsoft 365 admin centre, assign a licence to each person who builds or views reports with the visual

Add the visual in Power BI Desktop

  1. In Power BI Desktop, open your report
  2. In the Visualizations pane, select the ellipsis (...) and choose Get more visuals to open AppSource
  3. Search for SimpleWaterfall Pro, select it, then select Add
  4. Follow the instructions on screen to finish installing the visual
  5. The SimpleWaterfall Pro icon appears at the bottom of the Visualizations pane
  6. To keep it for future reports, right-click the icon and select Pin to visualization pane
The visual will not work until a licence has been assigned to you. If Get more visuals is missing or blocked, ask your Power BI admin to allow visuals from AppSource.
